I am passionate about numeracy education. I began to develop this passion during my time as a pre-service teacher when I was working with my tutor and mentor, Dr Ann Gervasoni in an after-school program called ‘Maths Club.’ During this program I worked with a small group of students to develop their confidence in mathematics and move them towards the next Growth Point in their mathematical understanding. This was a highly rewarding program which set me on the straight and narrow towards improving my knowledge of mathematics teaching and learning.
